XO-Center’s uniform appearance extends to the lockers
XO Center is a versatile sports and training center in Kerava opened in January 2024. The 3,000-square-meter-large new building contains modern and comfortable facilities for training and holistic well-being. The gym, spaces for instructed classes and other types of exercise, treatment rooms, padel area, spa, and restaurant form a stylishly uniform and modern entity. The harmonious feeling created by the dark interior design and wood continues in the dressing rooms.
Seija Hakala from Simple Style Design was responsible for the interior design. Karoliina Kannisto from Punta says that the storage solution was planned in professional co-operation with the interior designer.
In the new spaces everything has been planned to suit the functions and the interior designer succeeded to choose high-quality furniture for the dressing rooms according to the customer’s wishes.
In addition to the storage units’ appropriate placing and number, other important factors are the storage units’ functionality, safety, and visuality. Harriet Viiala, responsible for XO Center’s business, says that it was necessary to have big enough storage units in the dressing rooms to even fit winter clothing.
There are 189 Punta VKL-lockers in XO Center. The frame of the lockers is black texture paint painted steal and the laminate surfaced doors have a stylish oaken wood pattern. Thanks to the fixed bench, cleaning is a lot easier as there are less legs under the lockers.
– Furthermore, the shoe racks underneath the benches keep the lockers cleaner when you don’t need to put wet shoes in the lockers. The dressing rooms have received praise from the customers for their beauty, practicality, and for being big enough, too, says Harriet.
The project was completed according to the product specification, plan made, and customer’s schedule. Karoliina is satisfied with the fluency of the work and the project management with the interior designer. She is exceptionally happy that once again it was possible to modify a stylish solution that is unique, trendy, and adapts to the customer’s space.
Punta’s turnkey -service included also the installation of the smart locks at the factory, on-time delivery of the lockers, and installation work by Asennus Suomi. During the installation the lockers were adjusted straight and fastened tightly together. The requirements of visuality and safety were met with 100 percent.
