Shilei Zhang appointed as CEO of Punta Oy and Tapio Pajuharju elected as member of its board of directors

Pekka Leppälä, CEO of Punta Oy, which designs and manufactures storage, locking and delivery solutions, has resigned from his position.

“I would like to thank all Punta employees as well as our customers and partners for their good cooperation, and I wish them all a most successful future,” says Pekka Leppälä.

“We are grateful to Pekka for his contribution to Punta Oy. In line with its strategy, Punta Oy will continue its transformation from a traditional production-oriented metal product company into a technology company that serves its customers comprehensively,” states Ilkka Wäck, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Punta Oy.

Punta Oy’s Board of Directors has appointed Shilei Zhang (M.Sc. Econ.) as the company’s CEO as of 27 May 2024.

“Shilei has versatile experience in management consultation, international business, the commercialisation of products and services as well as change management. His experience will be of great help in the internationalisation of Punta’s business operations. We warmly welcome Shilei to Punta,” says Wäck.

In spring 2024, the General Meeting of Punta Oy elected Tapio Pajuharju, CEO of Kamux Corporation, as a member of the company’s Board of Directors and re-elected Vesa Harilo, Juha Punta and Ilkka Wäck as members of the Board of Directors.
