Punta’s products were used to tailor modern industrial locker and changing room locker solutions equipped with stylish RFID locks suitable for the premises. The matt black structural paint gives the last touch to the surface of the furniture for fitting into its architectural surroundings. Mylly combines the plot’s old industrial real estate with modern state-of-the-art architecture. The main objective in the design of the complete solution was creation of facilities that meet the needs of the users, in other words, art students and professors. The result is a transformable and flexible set of spaces that demonstrates both the process-like nature of creating art and the industrial history of the neighbourhood. The lockers and changing room lockers were dimensioned to meet the storage space needs of the students and staff. Punta’s furniture was placed to the lobby areas of the floors for the students and to the staff premises for the provision of much-needed storage space to professors. In all, almost half a thousand lockers and changing room lockers were delivered to Uniarts Helsinki.

To meet the needs of modern busy daily life, PUNTA distribution terminals were installed to Uniarts Helsinki and the Theatre Academy to facilitate equipment borrowing. The distribution terminal at Uniarts Helsinki is located next to the equipment rental and the one at the Theatre Academy can be found in the lobby, near the library entrance.

The gallery operations of the Academy of Fine Arts of Uniarts Helsinki will also be relocated to the new building. The nearly 750 m2, high and bright exhibition premises are located at street level on Sörnäiset Rantatie. With the new campus, Sörnäinen is developing into a significant cultural cluster.
