Punta Guest & Staff is an all-encompassing solution for modern environments and storage needs. They are particularly suitable for locations where the user turnover rate is high and the needs of and the access rights management is traditionally ineffective and expensive.
The locker is ideal for places where personal belongings and shared equipment needs both long-term and occasional storage. Some examples are transportation and travel hubs, collective and public spaces, offices, gyms, activity areas, cruise ships and hotels.
Guest & Staff provides flexible storage options in varying indoor and outdoor environments. It supports an unlimited number of automated lockers, has a centralised management software, state-of-the-art user interface, and supports most forms of keyless access.

- WORKS EVEN WHEN THE INTERNET CONNECTION IS DOWN. All locker groups have central configuration and management while still being intelligent enough to serve users when internet connection is not available.
- SERVES THE USER’S SPECIFIC NEEDS. Users can reserve the compartment that suits their needs, be it accessability or preference, occasional or long-term use.
- SIMPLE AND EASY TO USE. A touch screen UI for reserving, releasing and opening compartments and at least one key reader.
- KEYLESS ACCESS. Can use a pre-existing QR, barcode, NFC and RFID, as the system architecture can support almost any identification method.
- TIMER TO AVOID EXPIRED RESERVATIONS. Lockers can be programmed to release the reservation after a certain period of time or at a certain time so that locker availability can be better ensured.
- ADAPTS TO ALL IMAGINABLE SCENARIOS. Supports an unlimited amount of locker groups in different locations, several user groups with various needs, different compartment sizes and configurations.
Less need for expensive floor space
Allowing dynamic use of the lockers, fewer lockers need to be installed, thereby saving floor space.
No more key related expenses
Using a pre-existing QR, barcode, NFC and RFID instead of a traditional key makes managing keys more efficient. Most users already carry a suitable item on them. For example a company employee can use their ID card with a barcode as their key, while cruise ship passangers identify with their boarding passes.
Using already existing identification and remote user management means no more locksmith’s visits to replace lost keys or to break open abandoned lockers.
No queueing at the locker
Reserving a compartment at the locker is made simple and fast with a clear, instructive UI. Later on, opening the door during your reservation or as a long-term user is swift: just scan your key, no need to do anything else. While the basic set-up has one key reader, more can be installed. When needed each compartment can have its individual key reader.
No need to replace batteries
Unlike in many luggage lockers, the locks and the UI are standard AC devices which saves you unnecessary maintenance work.
Always up to date software
System updates are included in the monthly SaaS fee. There is no need for server maintenance or software installations.
Centralised management
Punta Suite offers an effortless way to manage the lockers, keys and user group specific rights and restrictions. It is a powerful tool for everyday locker management, reducing the need for on-premises personnel. For admin users it offers a possibility to configure lockers and user rights remotely and in real time.
Optimise storage capacity based on usage rates
The location and number of lockers can be optimised based on the usage rates and the other data collected by Punta Suite. It is also easy to configure compartments for long-term or dynamic use as needed.
Adaptable UI design
The UI guides the user with short, clear, instructions and informative illustrations. The texts and illustrations can be configured to fit the use and identification method of a specific location. The colors can be changed to fit a brand, as long as they follow accessibility guidelines.
Default languages for the UI are FI/SV/EN, but more can be added on request as the software supports unlimited amount of languages.

Guest & Staff Locker - How to use

A visitor arrives to the locker.

The they use the UI to choose a suitable compartment and make a reservation using an RFID token they already have for some other use.

They are assigned an empty compartment according to their choices.

The RFID token now acts as the key. For faster use they can just scan the token like long-term users, no need to use the UI.

During the reservation the visitor can open and close the compartment as they please, leaving and collecting their belongings.

Finally the visitor collects their belongings and releases the locker for the next user.
Software
Guest&Staff lockers are remotely controlled and configured using Punta Suite, our SaaS based software for smart locker management. It requires no application, installations, or server maintenance and can be accessed via any device with Internet connection.
Punta Suite supports several user levels, so each user is only able to access the actions and information that they need. While a receptionist gets easy to use tools for customer service, an admin level user gets all information and controls for large-scale locker and user management.
Punta Suite provides current information about lockers, including reservation status, usage rate and event log. Logs can be downloaded in CSV form.
Individual compartments can be unlocked, released, disabled or enabled remotely. Single compartments can be assigned tags, such size, accessibility or any other feature. This way different needs of a locker user are easily met.
Locker users can be grouped and given different rights and restrictions based on their user group. User data can be imported manually or automatically synchronized from a pre-existing database.
Access rights and other configuration can be made on locker, location or user group specific level. Changes are effective immediately on all affected lockers or users.
