Key features
-
REAL-TIME CONNECTIVITY. Lockers use 4/5G cellular network, enabling real-time updates on parcel and locker status.
2G and 3G networks are under shut down procedures in most of the European countries (3G by end of 2024, 2G 1-2 years later). - RELIABLE EVEN IN EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS. Designed to withstand temperatures from -25 °C to +50 °C, the lockers ensure reliable operation even in harsh weather environments.
- POWER UP ANYWHERE. With multiple power options, including solar and replaceable batteries, our lockers ensure up to 8 years of continuous operation without external power or internet cable, even in extreme conditions.
- ROBUST MECHANICAL FEATURES. Constructed from 0.75 mm doublewalled galvanised steel, Punta Unplugged Lockers offer enhanced durability and security with a modular system that includes both Master and Slave modules.
- SECURITY FEATURES (optional). In addition to a surveillance camera, the locker has a vibration sensor for detecting vandalism which can activate light and siren alarms and inform customer backend system.
- INTEGRATED SCANNER (optional). Scanning a bar/QR code minimizes the chances of human error, streamlining the pick-up/drop-off process and enhancing delivery security.
- LIGHTS (optional). Motion censored LED lighting enhances user experience in low-light locations, and gives a new tool for communicating brand identity.
24/7 Accessibility
Outdoor locations provide customers with the flexibility to pick up their parcels at any time, day or night. PIN code-based access works even if mobile network is temporarily not available.
Optimizing space
Placing lockers strategically in high-traffic areas like transit stations, shopping centers, or residential complexes, makes use of limited space in urban areas where traditional delivery methods might struggle to keep up. With well-placed outdoor lockers companies can reduce last-mile delivery costs and increase efficiency.
Easy installation and low starting costs
As there is no need for electrical or data connections or other infrastructure, the locker only needs solid ground on which to stand on its concrete base and it is ready to be used in minutes. Locker configuration can be done beforehand by backend UI or via Punta API.
Enhanced Security and Reliability
Punta outdoor lockers are designed to securely store parcels until the customer retrieves them. Advanced security features, such as surveillance camera, reinforced double wall structures, and unique access codes, help protect parcels from theft and tampering.
Scalability and Flexibility
A network can be started with a minimal number of lockers and easily scaled up easily as demand grows, expanding delivery networks as far as needed. There are virtually no limits on how large the locker fleet can grow.
Sustainable Delivery Solutions
By consolidating last-mile deliveries into battery-operated lockers, businesses can reduce delivery stops and lower operational costs while promoting sustainability through long-lasting, recyclable batteries.
