Punta Gas eliminates the need for a salesperson to hand over gas cylinders in the store yard and manually keep track of sold, returned and exchanged cylinders. The locker provides a safe and easily accessible storage for cylinders while the software keeps track of the inventory and makes refilling the lockers easy and swift.
Support for in-shop and webshop integration brings the sale and delivery together for a seamless customer experience. After the purchase the customer can exchange an empty cylinder for a full one as soon as they arrive to the locker.
Punta manufactures robust steel gas cylinder lockers and develops safe and secure software to operate them. Punta Smart Lockers have been tested in the extreme weather conditions in Northern Finland.

Multiple retail solutions
Support for webshop, an existing shop system or physical shop with Punta Gas locker management. Integration to third-party systems is easy, as all information is always available via Punta API.
Easy installation
The Punta system is pre-configured for rapid deployment. Once the automated lockers are installed at the desired location and filled with gas cylinders, a retailer can immediately get up and running with the Punta GAS user interface.
Reliable even in extreme weather conditions
The locker, its locks and UI are designed to work even in -30 – +50 C temperatures with minimal energy usage and upkeep. The built-in screen and physical buttons are easier to use than a touchscreen UI in varying weather conditions. The battery-life of 1-2 years can be prolonged with solar panels. The locker is made of durable steel to withstand harsh outdoor conditions, including rain, snow, wind, and UV exposure.

Lots of time and work is saved as the salesperson doesn’t have to stop doing customer service to go outside and manually open a locker to exchange gas cylinders, and manually keeping track of every exchanged and returned cylinder.
Locker refill process is managed by software that works in all mobile devices without application installation. The process has been streamlined to be efficient and error-free, including easier keyless access to the locker and automatic inventory tracking.
Low life cycle costs
No backend or cloud solution is needed for the locker so there are no software updates. Not affected by phone or PDA technology, the seller-refiller application supports almost any handheld Android device with QR-scanner, and Punta API allows for third-party integration. Durable hardware lowers maintenance costs and re-locating the locker is easy if the location proves unideal.
Enhanced customer experience
Self-service lockers allow customers the flexibility to pick up their parcel at any time, day or night. The PIN code-based access works even if mobile network is not temporarily available and the code can be delivered to the customer via SMS, email or printed out at the salespoint.
Designed to last
Each locker is equipped with plastic sliders for smooth cylinder loading and retrieval, while plastic stoppers and double steel walls withstand wear and tear, ensuring longevity even in high-traffic locations.
Smooth customer experience
Customers receive a PIN code to retrieve a gas cylinder from a designated locker and they can easily return empty cylinders at the same time. The entire process takes seconds, ensuring staff efficiency and enhancing customer satisfaction.
